Peter Larsen is a veteran journalist with a passion for storytelling, whether covering Hollywood’s biggest events or breaking down political news. As the Orange County Register’s Pop Culture Reporter since 2004, he has reported from the Oscars, Emmys, Comic-Con, and Coachella, while also diving into hard news and in-depth features. Known for his sharp writing, quick turnaround, and deep knowledge of entertainment and media, Larsen brings stories to life with wit and insight. Beyond the newsroom, he mentors aspiring journalists and teaches at California State University, Long Beach. A graduate of Lewis & Clark College and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, he now resides in California with his wife and two daughters.
