Peter Knudson is National Transportation Safety Board media relations specialist and an agency spokesperson. He has been at the scene of more than 50 accident sites in all modes of transportation to coordinate media relations activities.He has prepared NTSB leadership for appearances on many major new programs, including Meet the Press (NBC), Face the Nation and 60 Minutes (CBS), This Week (ABC), State of the Union (CNN) and Fox News Sunday.
Peter has presented at transportation industry events in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe and Asia. He has advised airlines, government agencies, airports, transportation equipment manufacturers, local authorities and others on media-related engagements following an accident under investigation by the NTSB.
Before coming to the NTSB, Peter worked in customer service, training and ground operations for two airlines. He is a licensed private pilot and has a bachelor’s degree in communications and American studies from California State University, Fullerton.
