Jordan Mendoza has been working for USA TODAY since 2021, starting off as a sports intern before he was hired as a breaking and trending news reporter. Jordan covered several topics and events in the Los Angeles area for two years before moving to a full-time sports reporter in 2023. In this role, he writes and reports breaking and trending news across all sports leagues, as well as serving as one of the main Los Angeles reporters. Jordan has covered Caitlin Clark, the Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 World Series run, March Madness, the College Football Playoff, WWE as well as both UCLA and USC sports. He also recently participated in news events for the Los Angeles fires.
