Join us for the showing of one part of John Leguizamo's latest groundbreaking project, "American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos," where he delves into both well-known and lesser-known stories of Latino history and contributions to the formal and informal narratives about U.S. history. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Latina Media scholars, Dr. Sonya M. Aleman (Professor at the University of Texas, San Antonio), and Dr. Claudia Evans-Zepeda (Associate professor in the Department at CSUF).

 The presentation is a discussion on college student loneliness as well as a proposal for a new HCOM class, known as Communication and Loneliness. In this presentation, we will unpack the research findings on how loneliness impacts college students, its contributing factors, and solutions that ultimately leads to the proposal of the new loneliness class. This presentation has a strong emphasis on interpersonal communication, mental health, and college student success.
